Assistant Principal/Math Teacher/Coach
I graduated from Mount Carmel High School in San Diego, California in 1987. After high school, I joined the U.S. Navy and spent four years (1989-1993) serving our great country.
I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.
I later graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont in 2015 with a Masters degree in Education Administration.
This is my first year in High Island. I teach 6th and 7th grade math, plus Algebra 1. I also serve as the assistant principal. In addition, I am an assistant football coach, head boys basketball coach and head girls softball coach.
I started teaching in 2002. I have taught in Center Point ISD, Caldwell ISD, Anahuac ISD, Barbers Hill ISD and Humble ISD most recently.
My wife, Veronika, and I have a blended family that includes five kids. We have our daughter, Taylor, 14; our son, Jake, 14; our twin sons, Matt and Joe, 11; and our daughter Sophia, 6.
