“B”IG things are happening on The Hill!
High Island ISD earned an overall “B” (85) in the 2026 State Accountability Ratings!
And y’all…we are PROUD!
Our students work hard. Our staff shows up and gives their all. Our community supports us every step of the way. Our people are AMAZING on The Hill!
Today we CELEBRATE! We celebrate the hard work, the growth, and everyone who pours into our Cardinals every single day.
We aren’t done yet! Next stop is an “A” but today belongs to our Cardinals! Way to go!

❤️🤍 Morning Drop-Off Update 🤍❤️
Cardinal Families,
Beginning Monday, August 10, we will be making a small adjustment to our morning drop-off procedures as part of our continued efforts to keep our campus safe and secure.
Parents and guardians will say their morning goodbyes from the car, and our teachers and staff will be outside ready to greet students, help them out of their vehicles, and make sure they get safely into the building. Parents will no longer walk students into the building during morning drop-off.
We know—especially for our littlest Cardinals—that walking them in can be a special part of the morning. ❤️ Please know that they will be met with smiling faces and plenty of helping hands. We will take good care of them!
Limiting morning access to the building allows us to better monitor who is entering our campus and helps us maintain a secure environment for every student and staff member.
Thank you for trusting us with your children and for partnering with us as we work to make High Island a safe, welcoming place where Every Cardinal Counts! ❤️🤍
We appreciate our Cardinal families more than you know!

Today is Austin Isaacks’ last day as our Technology Director. We are so thankful for everything he has done for High Island ISD and for always helping keep us connected and running smoothly! Austin, we wish you nothing but the best on your next adventure. You will definitely be missed on The Hill!
Once a Cardinal, always a Cardinal! ❤️🤍

Gotta love it when they started with 10-12 players in JH with no Varsity squad last year and the year before. This year we have 26 (2 not pictured) and now have both JH and Varsity. We might take some knocks but we are gonna be giving ‘em too!!! Let’s build this thing!!! 💪💪💪 And with no plan of stopping anytime soon!!! #MIHI #BirdGang
